The Frequency Shifter re-randomizes your planet's Portal Address (symbols) to a completely new combination, breaking any existing enemy tracking or saved bookmarks on your portal without moving your base.
Core Mechanics & Physical Location
When activated, the Frequency Shifter generates a brand-new 8-symbol Portal Address for your base.
Crucial Difference: Your physical planet coordinates on the Galaxy Map (X, Y) DO NOT change!
Your base remains in its exact galaxy location alongside your allies, territory, and asteroid fields. Only your Portal Network dial code is scrambled. Any enemy commander who previously scouted, recorded, or bookmarked your portal address will no longer be able to reach your base using their old address records.
When to Use Frequency Shifter
- Evading Portal Raiders: If hostile players or rival alliances have discovered your portal symbols and are launching repeated ground attacks through the portal network.
- Preserving Prime Galaxy Real Estate: When you need to stop portal harassment but want to keep your strategic galaxy coordinates (e.g., adjacent to alliance outposts, alliance hives, or rich gathering grounds).
- Post-Conflict Security: After a major battle or scouting exchange where multiple opponents gained knowledge of your portal address.
How to Use Step-by-Step
- Open your Backpack (Inventory).
- Locate the Frequency Shifter item.
- Click the item to activate it. Your Portal Address is updated immediately with a new combination of symbols.
Requirements & Constraints
- All Units Must Be at Base: All of your unit groups must be stationed at home (status must be Ready, Training, or Injured). You cannot shift frequencies while any of your fleets or troops are currently marching, scouting, gathering, or reinforcing elsewhere.
- No Incoming Attacks: You cannot activate a Frequency Shifter if any hostile galaxy marches, rallies, or portal attacks are currently en route to your base.
